Our mission is to empower Muslim women and girls through knowledge, leadership development, economic empowerment, and advocacy, firmly grounded in Islamic values.

Our Story
Ladies in Islam Tanzania was founded in May 2021 during the blessed month of Ramadhan, with a clear and heartfelt purpose � to create a safe, empowering, and faith-centered platform for Muslim women and girls. What began as a vision to strengthen unity and leadership among Islamic women has grown into a nationally recognized movement dedicated to social, economic, intellectual, and spiritual empowerment.
- From its early gatherings to large-scale leadership conferences, Ladies in Islam Tanzania has consistently responded to the real challenges facing Muslim women by providing practical solutions rooted in Islamic values.
- The organization was built on the belief that empowerment and faith go hand in hand � that a confident, knowledgeable, and economically independent woman strengthens not only herself, but her family, her community, and the nation.
- Over the years, Ladies in Islam has successfully convened women leaders, young girls, entrepreneurs, religious scholars, policymakers, and development partners to advance inclusive leadership and sustainable impact.
- Through leadership trainings, business recognition platforms, governance exposure visits, and educational initiatives, the organization continues to nurture a new generation of resilient and values-driven women.
- In 2025, Ladies in Islam Tanzania reached a significant milestone by becoming officially registered (Reg. No. S.A.24175), solidifying its commitment to transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
